There will be no Family Night this month due to Grand Lodge Meeting.
Our next Family Night will be 31 July 2012.
At The Last Stated Communication
Tuesday, 15 May 2012 was our most recent Stated Communication. All the usual things took place: First Time Visitors, Past Masters and other Dignitaries introduced and welcomed. Sick Report included Brother Don Carson recuperating from surgery as is Brother Steve Tipton. The Craft was sadly informed that Brother Gene Markey had passed away on 9 May…… Correspondance read and bills paid. Received a Petition for Dual Membership and discussed the repair of the area on the 2nd Avenue side of our parking lot. The major business of the night concerned fund raising. Many ideas were discussed and Right Worshipful Alan Rosenthal presented an oration which brought our fund raising efforts into perspective……Our Vidalia Onion sale is going very well. The proceeds not only help support the Lodge but can also help other Lodges and the Masters & Wardens Association……Beginning within the next couple of months, the Lodge will be utilized on the fourth Sunday of each month for an Auction……finally, the Worshipful Master presented Masonic Education concerning “Cowans”. The Lodge closed at 8:55 P.M. The Worshipful Master reminded everyone to practice Charity in our daily lives. (this is only a brief synopsis of the minutes for this meeting. If you would like the ‘rest of the story’ come to our next Stated Communication, 19 June 2012, where you can read them in their entirety).

Fantastic Meeting
Tuesday evening we had a fabulous Stated Communication. We elected two new candidates and will be presenting the Entered Apprentice Degree to them on Tuesday, May 8th. Gulf Beach Lodge visited us with 23 of their members and captured the Traveling Gavel. The subject for our Masonic Education segment was Brotherly Love, which was richly demonstrated in several ways throughout the meeting, including Gulf Beach Lodge members presenting a Special Patch for his Widow Son’s vest to our Past District Deputy Grand Master, Alan Rosenthal, in token of their love and respect for him.
